Singapore Ranks 3rd In Asia For Internet Affordability, 15th Globally For Connection Quality

According to the latest Digital Quality of Life Index by Netherlands-based VPN service company Surfshark, Singapore is ranked 3rd in Asia for Internet affordability, after Japan and Korea.

The study examines 117 countries and indexes each country according to five pillars that impact the population’s overall digital quality of life. The five pillars include internet affordability, internet quality, e-infrastructure, e-security, and e-government.

Singapore’s rank was 4th last year. The significant drop in ranking is due to a lower score in the e-security pillar. However, the other pillars such as internet affordability, internet quality and e-government saw improvements.
