It’s sakura season, and while you can technically enjoy cherry blossoms at Gardens by the Bay now, there’s another way to get into the spring mood, and it involves food.
Sushi Tei just dropped its Flavours of Spring menu, and it is the kind where you say “let’s share” but end up ordering enough for five people.
Running till 7 June 2026, this limited-time menu leans into lighter, fresher flavours but still keeps that rich, comforting edge.
Black Cod is giving main character energy
The main character here is the Black Cod. If you have never tried it before, imagine fish that is so buttery and soft it almost melts before you even chew.
It shows up in the Sanpo Shiro Yosenabe, a hotpot with a light creamy broth that feels clean but still comforting. This is the one you order on a rainy day when you want something warm but still feel a bit atas.
The sharing plates that won’t be shared
The Sakura Okonomiyaki Skewer looks pretty, but it is all crunch and umami. Topped with sakura shrimp and those signature dancing bonito flakes, it feels like a Japanese festival snack but upgraded.
The Zesty Sashimi Nachos sound a bit wild, but trust, it works. Crispy chips, fresh sashimi, creamy avocado, pops of tobiko and a squeeze of lime. It is messy in the best way and you will not stop at one bite.
Another sleeper hit is the Ikura Kamaboko Maki. You get layers of texture in one bite, slightly crisp fish cake, rice, tobiko, lobster salad and even a nacho chip for crunch. It is extra, but that is exactly why it works.
Sushi Tei members get it cheaper
If you are a Sushi Tei member, there are also some nice little perks. Selected items from the spring menu are available at discounted prices for a limited time, which makes it even easier to justify ordering more.
