Tampopo’s S$9 Nori Bento Might Be Singapore’s Most Underrated Lunch Deal Right Now

Written by Kelly Khor

In Orchard Road, where a basic lunch can easily hit S$12 to S$15, finding something satisfying under S$10 feels almost impossible.

That’s exactly what Tampopo has done with its all new Japanese Nori Bento, starting from S$9 nett if you pre order before 10:30am, and S$10 after.

What You’re Actually Getting

You get three options to choose from. The Black Cod Nori Bento feels way more expensive than it actually is, with rich, buttery fish that flakes apart easily and soaks into the rice, paired with pumpkin tempura for a more restaurant style feel.

The Pork Ginger Nori Bento is the one that quietly becomes your default. Tender slices of pork stir fried with ginger, savoury with a slight sweetness, and dangerously easy to finish.

Then there’s the Ebi Fry Nori Bento, made for fried food days. Crispy golden prawns with a light, airy batter that gives you that satisfying crunch without feeling too heavy.

Not Just Rice And One Main

Each bento comes with tamagoyaki, cherry tomato, and broccoli, rounding it out into a proper, balanced meal instead of just rice and protein.
