GO Malaysia Fair 2026 returns to Suntec from 8 to 10 May, with Sarawak taking centre stage

Written by Kelly Khor

Most Singaporeans are familiar with JB, but not many have explored East Malaysia.

From 8 to 10 May, GO Malaysia Fair 2026 at Suntec City brings a different side of Malaysia closer to home, with travel deals, free giveaways and even a chance to win a brand new car.

Taking place over three days, the exhibition brings together 22 exhibitors across travel, food, culture and lifestyle. This year, the spotlight leans strongly towards Sarawak, offering a closer look at a destination that feels less commercial and more experience driven.

The event also features exclusive deals, daily activities and limited giveaways happening throughout the day.

Why Sarawak feels different from your usual Malaysia trip

If JB is about convenience, Sarawak is about discovery.

Sarawak offers a slower pace of travel, with a stronger focus on nature, culture and heritage. At the fair, you will get a glimpse of what that experience looks like through curated showcases and travel inspiration.

Highlights include Bako National Park, home to wildlife such as proboscis monkeys, and the UNESCO listed Mulu Caves, known for their vast and dramatic cave systems. Closer to the city, places like Semenggoh Wildlife Centre offer the chance to spot orangutans in a semi wild setting, while the Kuching Waterfront provides a more laid back experience with scenic river views.

For a deeper cultural experience, the Sarawak Cultural Village offers insight into traditional longhouses and the lifestyles of indigenous communities.

It is less about ticking off attractions and more about experiencing a place in a more meaningful way.

Travel ideas you probably have not considered before

One of the highlights includes a farm to table experience in Sarawak from S$19, offering a closer look at how local ingredients are grown and prepared.

There are also offers such as 50% off your second night in Kuching.

A Slice Of Sarawak To Suntec
