Rainforest Wild Adventure Soft Opens Massive New East Zone With Okapis And Jungle Adventure Experiences

Singapore’s newest wildlife attraction is getting a major expansion this May.

Previously known as Rainforest Wild Asia and Africa, the attraction is now called Rainforest Wild Adventure. The new name comes with the soft opening of its East zone from 20 May 2026. The expanded park now spans 20 hectares across the east and west sides of Mandai Wildlife Reserve.

Unlike a traditional wildlife park, this place focuses heavily on adventure. Visitors can swing above forests, climb across treetops, crawl through caves and spot wildlife along the way.

Rare Wildlife And Adrenaline Attractions

The new East zone takes inspiration from Afro tropical and Madagascan landscapes.

Guests can spot pygmy hippos, eastern bongos, lemurs and the highly anticipated okapi. The endangered okapi is making its Southeast Asia debut at the park. It is also the only one of its kind in any zoological park in Southeast Asia.

Adventure seekers can also try canopy gliding, rainforest swings and cliff style climbs. Suspended treetop obstacle courses overlooking the animal habitats are also part of the experience.

For those brave enough, there is even a cave crawling experience. Visitors will move through tight tunnels in darkness while hissing cockroaches crawl beneath a glass floor.

One Ticket Gives You Access To Both Zones

Rainforest Wild Adventure now operates across two connected zones within Mandai Wildlife Reserve. Free shuttle services transport guests between both sides during their visit. A single park ticket includes admission to both the East and West zones. Guests will also enjoy access to selected Adventure+ activities during the soft opening period.

Rainforest Wild Adventure is one of the five wildlife parks within Mandai Wildlife Reserve. The others are Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, Bird Paradise and River Wonders.
