Charlie And The Chocolate Factory is making its Singapore debut at Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands, from 19 May to 14 June 2026. In true Willy Wonka fashion, organisers have hidden golden tickets beneath selected theatre seats.
More Than 8,000 Golden Tickets Are Hidden Under Seats
Organisers will hide more than 8,000 Golden Tickets beneath selected seats throughout the musical season.
The prizes include lifestyle experiences, dining treats, beauty rewards, hotel perks and limited edition collectibles.
Participating brands include Klook, M·A·C Cosmetics, NARS, TADA, Clarins, Maison 21G and Jewel Changi Airport.
What Is Charlie And The Chocolate Factory About?
Charlie And The Chocolate Factory follows Charlie Bucket, a poor but kind hearted boy who wins a rare Golden Ticket to tour Willy Wonka’s mysterious chocolate factory.
Inside, he discovers chocolate rivers, strange inventions and mischievous Oompa Loompas. The other children slowly get eliminated because of their bad behaviour.
Roald Dahl’s story became a global classic through the famous book and movie adaptations. The musical now brings that fantasy world to life on stage.
Marina Bay Sands Is Turning Purple For Wonka
From 20 to 22 May 2026, Marina Bay Sands will get a Wonka inspired glow up.
The three hotel towers will light up in purple. The Shoppes will glow gold. ArtScience Museum will also feature a projection of Willy Wonka himself.
The Singapore skyline is basically entering its chocolate factory era.

There Is Also A Chocolate Painted Photo Wall By Janice Wong
Singaporean chocolatier and chef artist Janice Wong created a themed photo wall using 20 kilograms of chocolate paint and chocolate elements.
The installation sits at Sands Theatre throughout the musical season. Your pre show photos are about to look a lot more aesthetic.
The Desserts Are Going Full Wonka Mode
Marina Bay Sands is also rolling out themed desserts inspired by Charlie And The Chocolate Factory.
Highlights include Charlie’s Chocolate Milkshake at Black Tap, KOMA Singapore’s Chocolate River Magic dessert and character inspired pastries at Origin + Bloom.
Visitors can also buy exclusive Wonka chocolate bars with collectible Golden Ticket packaging.
At this point, the entire experience feels like a sugar fueled side quest.
The Musical Features The Iconic Songs Too
The production includes songs from the classic 1971 film including Pure Imagination, The Candy Man and I’ve Got A Golden Ticket.
The musical also features original music by Grammy and Tony Award winners Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman.
If you grew up with the book or movies, this is basically nostalgia with a giant Broadway budget.
