Lau Pa Sat is getting a Bavarian inspired makeover across two weekends this September, bringing complimentary beer, live bands and stein holding contests to the historic food hall.
ERDINGER Oktoberfest returns on 18 and 19 September, followed by a second weekend on 25 and 26 September 2026. Entry is free. Better yet, ERDINGER will hand out 50 complimentary pints at the start of each evening.
Each Evening Starts With 50 Complimentary Pints
First, barmaids will move through the crowd while the New Stream Brass Band performs near the stage. Along the way, they will hand out 50 complimentary pints of ERDINGER to festivalgoers.
Next, the procession will end with a mass “Prost!” toast to start the evening. Singapore’s first New Orleans style brass band will continue performing throughout the celebration, alongside acoustic party band The Mad Trio.
Meanwhile, visitors can enjoy ERDINGER Weissbier on draught while ordering satay and other familiar dishes from Lau Pa Sat’s hawker stalls. As a result, the event offers a distinctly Singaporean spin on the traditional German beer festival.
Test Your Strength In A Stein Holding Contest
Besides enjoying the music and beer, visitors can join several Oktoberfest inspired games:
- Pretzel Toss, a carnival style challenge that tests players’ aim
- Stein Slide, an Oktoberfest take on curling
- Stein Holding Challenge, where participants compete to hold a beer stein out in front of them for the longest time
In addition, hosts will invite participants to compete in nightly Stein Holding showdowns before the crowd. Visitors can unlock game passes by purchasing ERDINGER beers or sharing their ERDINGER moments on social media.
Successful challengers will earn redemption tickets. They can then exchange these tickets for festival exclusive jerseys, tumblers, socks and cushions.
Beer Trivia Could Win Your Table A Metre Long Tray
Alternatively, festivalgoers can test their knowledge through live Oktoberfest and ERDINGER trivia challenges. Winners could walk away with a metre long tray of ERDINGER for their table. After all, few prizes will motivate a Singaporean group to study beer trivia quite like that.

Dress For Oktoberfest And You May Win Something
Visitors can arrive in lederhosen, dirndls or blue and white outfits. However, modern interpretations of Bavarian fashion can also qualify.
Throughout the event, roaming Oktoberfest Style Spotters will search for memorable outfits. They will reward selected festivalgoers with ERDINGER merchandise. Therefore, anyone planning a coordinated group costume has another reason to commit to the look.
The Oktoberfest Celebrations Continue Around Singapore
If you cannot make it to Lau Pa Sat, you can still join several smaller Oktoberfest activations around Singapore. The organisers will bring games and merchandise to the following venues:
- The Chevrons on 11 September
- Taki Bar on 24 and 25 September
- Clarke Quay Fountain on 16 and 17 October
- Bread Butter Jam on 16 October
Additionally, major supermarkets and RedMart will sell a limited edition ERDINGER Oktoberfest Brew. The seasonal canned beer combines smooth malt aromas with a more pronounced hop bitterness.
