Viral Japanese Donut Brand I’m donut? Is Coming To ION Orchard This December With Its Signature Nama Donuts

Written by Dania Rae
Your next Orchard Road snack stop has a question mark in its name. Japanese brand I’m donut? is opening its first Singapore store at ION Orchard this December 2026, bringing its signature nama donuts to basement two.

The name gives you a clue about the appeal: these donuts are meant to make you reconsider what a donut should feel like. Think a light, fluffy bite with a delicate springiness, rather than judging them purely by their fillings and toppings.

The texture is different

Founded by chef Ryouta Hirako, I’m donut? puts the emphasis on its nama donuts’ soft texture. The brand describes them as gently springy, before melting softly in the mouth.

That makes the dough itself the detail to pay attention to when the Singapore outlet opens. An elaborate topping might catch your eye, but the real question is how that first bite compares with your usual donut order.

According to the brand, its dough, creams and toppings are prepared in-house. The Singapore menu has yet to be revealed, so there is no confirmed flavour shortlist to plan your order around just yet.

Singapore joins a growing overseas line-up

The Orchard opening follows the brand’s expansion beyond Japan to cities including New York, Taipei, Seoul and Kuala Lumpur.

For anyone who has been curious about the name while travelling, the Singapore debut means you can soon try it closer to home. The store will be at #B2-19 in ION Orchard.

What we know before you make plans

December is confirmed as the opening month, but the exact launch date, prices, flavours and operating hours have not been announced. More details will be released closer to opening.

If you are already rounding up a donut-loving friend, save the location first. The menu—and the question of what to order—will have to wait.
