The Sakura floral display at Gardens by the Bay is back for its 11th edition, bringing a slice of Japan right into the Flower Dome. And the best part is you don’t just get the flowers, you also get the cool spring weather of Japan thanks to the air-conditioned dome.
So while it’s blazing hot outside, inside it feels like you’ve lowkey teleported to Japan.
But don’t wait too long, it’s only here till 15 April 2026.
It’s Basically Mini Japan
This year, Gardens by the Bay is teaming up with the Ishikawa Prefectural Government to bring a slice of Japan straight into Singapore. Known for the iconic Kenrokuen Garden and its rich traditional craftsmanship, Ishikawa takes centre stage in this year’s Sakura display.
You’ll see over 30 varieties of cherry, peach and plum blossoms in soft pink, white and deeper shades, set against landscapes inspired by the prefecture’s historic districts. But it goes beyond just flowers. The space is transformed into immersive Japanese scenes, from streets that resemble a geisha district to an Edo period samurai residence inspired by the Nomura family home.
There are also cultural touches throughout, including lacquerware, gold leaf artistry and beautifully dyed kimono textiles from Ishikawa. It feels less like a flower exhibition and more like you accidentally stepped into Japan.

Hello Kitty & My Melody makes an appearance
This year’s Sakura display also comes with appearances by Sanrio characters like Hello Kitty and My Melody, adding an extra playful touch to the whole experience.
So whether you are there for the flowers, the culture, or just to flood your feed with pink photos, there is plenty to enjoy.
