Reported runtimes put the standard version at around two minutes longer than the original and the premium version at around five minutes longer. Across the presentations, published reports identify four new story additions: an expanded ending and three scenes during or after the credits. The selection of bonus footage depends on the screening format.
Here come the spoilers. If you want to discover the new scenes in the cinema, this is your cue to leave. You’ve been warned.
1. Loki interrupts Steve and Peggy’s happy ending
The first change arrives before the credits. The original Endgame closes with Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter dancing together, giving Captain America the life he had spent decades missing.
Encore extends that moment with a knock at Peggy’s door. Steve stays out of sight while she answers it, only to find Loki outside. His visit concerns both of them, turning a private farewell into the beginning of another mystery.
It is a brief addition that changes the feeling of the ending. What once seemed like a closed chapter now leaves Steve and Peggy with an unexpected visitor and an unresolved future.

2. Doctor Doom comes looking for Bruce Banner
A credits scene catches up with Bruce Banner in confinement, experimenting with gamma radiation and working to keep the Hulk under control. His recording is interrupted by an unseen visitor: Doctor Doom. Green magic, the Hulk’s scream and Bruce’s disappearance follow, leaving a mysterious symbol behind.
The encounter establishes a connection between Doom and Banner without explaining what the villain wants. Whether Bruce is being recruited, imprisoned or used for something else remains unanswered.

3. The TVA witnesses the multiverse collapsing
Another credits scene returns to the Time Variance Authority, where Mobius, OB and Casey watch multiple realities fall apart. Earths begin colliding, alerts multiply and the number of destroyed universes rises into the thousands. The organisation responsible for monitoring timelines is left witnessing a disaster it appears unable to contain.
This gives the clearest sense of the scale of the next Avengers conflict. Doomsday’s official premise involves heroes from three distinct universes facing an existential threat, and the footage offers an unsettling glimpse of what is at stake.

4. Doctor Doom appears in a final tease after the credits
The final addition pairs familiar metal-clanging sounds associated with Tony Stark making his first Iron Man armour with a brief sequence of images, ending with Doctor Doom’s masked face.
With Robert Downey Jr. playing Doom in Doomsday, the reference invites comparisons between the two characters. However, it does not confirm that Doom is Tony Stark or a version of him from another universe.
That remains a theory, rather than an explanation supplied by the footage.
Doctor Doom actually became Iron Man in the comics
There is already a comic-book connection between the two armoured characters. In Marvel’s Infamous Iron Man series, which launched in 2016, Victor von Doom takes on the Iron Man mantle and attempts to become a hero, carrying on Tony Stark’s legacy.
The distinction is crucial: this is Doctor Doom becoming Iron Man, rather than Tony Stark being revealed as Doctor Doom. It offers an intriguing parallel to Robert Downey Jr.’s casting, but does not establish that Avengers: Doomsday will follow the same storyline.
