The 50 cents Fest will be back again for the fourth time at Chinatown Food Street as part of the Singapore Food Festival. This year’s festival shines a spotlight on the Hokkien heritage. This event will happen over 2 days on the 27 and 28 July 2019.
The 50 Cents Fest this year features over 40 stalls and mobile vendors, showcasing more than 50 different savouries and sweet Hokkien dishes! Everything at this festival is priced between SGD$0.50 to SGD$3.00!
This year, the organizer is also partnering heritage restaurants like Beng Hiang, an established Hokkien restaurants founded in 1978, well-known for their melt-in-the-mouth kong bak pau. Other Hokkien restaurants with rich history also adds to the authenticity of this year’s festival.

The 50 Cents Fest will also feature interactive and exciting activities. One of the highlights is “JIAK BA BUAY?” (Have you eaten?) bingo game and other nostalgic arcade games. For the shopaholics, there are also retail booths selling Hokkien-inspired merchandise from local brand Wetteeshirt and more!
Hokkien Getai performances will also be happening over the two days.
