More than 20 claypot dishes, inspired by traditional Cantonese sizzling claypot cooking, have just landed at Lo Hey HK Restaurant.
A claypot series inspired by Hong Kong cooking
The menu draws from the kind of claypot dishes commonly found in Hong Kong neighbourhood eateries, where ingredients are cooked over high heat and served bubbling hot at the table, locking in flavour and aroma.
What sets this series apart is its seven signature sauces, developed to reflect both classic Cantonese flavours and more contemporary profiles. Diners can choose from a range of meats, seafood and vegetables, with prices starting from S$12.80.
What to order from the claypot series
The line-up spans both familiar favourites and more distinctive combinations, with several standout options.
The Claypot Lemongrass Prawn Balls offers a lighter, aromatic profile, pairing juicy prawn balls with the fragrance of lemongrass. The Claypot Squid with Shiso Leaf brings a more unexpected combination, layering the natural sweetness of squid with a slightly peppery herbal note.
For something richer, the Claypot Pork Belly with Pickled Chillies combines tender pork belly with a punchy balance of heat and tang.
Other highlights include the Black Pepper Angus Beef Claypot, known for its robust flavour and tender slices of beef, as well as the Sizzling Chicken Claypot with Ginger, which delivers a warm and savoury finish.
Each dish arrives sizzling hot at the table, making it a visually engaging option for group dining.
