If you’ve been looking for authentic Peranakan food, Bibik Violet, the Peranakan café by the Violet Oon Group, has officially opened its second outlet, bringing everything from kopi breakfasts and handmade kueh to hearty family style Peranakan dishes under one roof.
The 74 seat café on Level 2 of Great World is designed as an all day dining destination where you can drop by for breakfast, afternoon tea, dessert or dinner. Beyond the food, the space recreates the warmth of a traditional Peranakan home with rattan furniture, batik touches, vintage recipe books and heritage inspired décor.
Exclusive durian desserts available only at Great World
Available until 31 August 2026, Bibik Violet has introduced three seasonal desserts that give Singapore’s favourite fruit a Peranakan twist.
- Durian Chendol, featuring the classic shaved ice dessert topped with Mao Shan Wang durian.
- Sago Gula Melaka with Durian, combining silky sago pearls, gula melaka and rich durian pengat.
- Pulut Tai Tai with Durian Kaya, pairing blue pea glutinous rice with durian kaya and durian pengat.

Fresh handmade kueh and nostalgic bakes every day
Walk into the café and you’ll first be greeted by a colourful display of freshly made Nyonya kueh and old school bakes. Everything is prepared in limited daily batches, so the selection changes as items sell out.
New additions include Black Sesame Ang Ku Kueh, Yam Ang Ku Kueh and Kueh Talam layered with coconut cream and purple sweet potato. For larger gatherings, Bibik Violet has also introduced colourful kueh platters suitable for birthdays, office celebrations and family gatherings.
The bakery selection leans heavily into nostalgia. Expect treats such as Marble Loaf Tea Cake, Pandan and Gula Melaka Marble Chiffon Cake, Pineapple Upside Down Cake, Banana Loaf Cake and classic Rum Balls alongside favourites like Orange Sugee Cake and Pulot Hitam Tart.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner from one menu
Unlike many cafés that focus on just one meal period, Bibik Violet serves an all day menu that moves seamlessly from breakfast to dinner.
Morning visitors can start with traditional kaya toast sets, Hae Bee Hiam Toast, Mee Siam and freshly brewed kopi or teh. Later in the day, the menu expands into comforting Peranakan classics and local favourites.
