Culinary Class Wars chef Yohan Min has opened a new Korean restaurant in Singapore. Located at Hougang Mall, Sansok serves charcoal-grilled meats, comforting stews and complete Korean meals with refillable banchan.
The star of the menu is its charcoal-grilled meats
Highlights include the juicy Soy Garlic Dakgalbi (S$15.90), smoky Bassak Bulgogi (S$18.90) and handmade Tteokgalbi with King Oyster Mushroom (S$18.90). For pork, try the Dwaeji Galbi (S$21.90), marinated for 48 hours with soy sauce and fresh fruit before charcoal grilling.
Each main comes with sotbap rice, soup and banchan. Lunch includes four banchan, while dinner comes with six sharing banchan. Diners can also refill four rotating side dishes at the chilled banchan bar.

The recipes are inspired by Yohan Min’s childhood
Before appearing on Netflix’s Culinary Class Wars, Yohan Min grew up beside his parents’ humble construction-site cafeteria. He later studied at the Culinary Institute of America and documented his mother’s cooking, building a collection of more than 1,000 banchan recipes. Sansok now brings these family flavours to Hougang.
