Meet the living organisms behind the glow
Glowing Oceans lets visitors interact with live dinoflagellates at touch tanks. These tiny organisms produce light through a chemical reaction, giving off blue flashes when the water moves.
Billed as Asia’s first full-scale living bioluminescence exhibition, it also introduces glowing deep-sea creatures at Dimitri’s Desk and traces Charles Darwin’s encounter with the phenomenon at Darwin’s Cove. The experience is suitable for ages four and above.

Make it an ocean-themed outing
Continue exploring at ONE Ocean: Every Action Ripples, running at Science Centre Singapore’s Annexe until 3 January 2027. Through large-scale projections, spatial soundscapes and free-roaming virtual reality experiences, the exhibition explores how marine ecosystems connect with everyday life.
ONE Ocean tickets start from S$10.
