Baba Nyonya at Jewel Changi Airport brings an immersive Peranakan dining experience to the table, pairing traditional dishes with vintage dressing tables, batik fabrics and heritage-inspired photo corners. Now, diners can also slip into Nyonya kebayas or batik shirts at no extra charge and wear them throughout their meal.
Borrow a Kebaya and Keep It On for Dinner
The dress-up experience is available to dine-in guests at no extra charge, with Nyonya kebayas and batik shirts in both adult and children’s sizes. You can wear them for photos or throughout your meal, with flower stalks and umbrellas available to complete the look.
Around the restaurant, photo corners feature vintage dressing tables and batik fabrics, while Jewel’s Rain Vortex offers another backdrop. It is an easy way to get a family photo together or give visiting friends a holiday snap to remember.
A S$10 Add-On Takes Inspiration From the Tok Panjang Feast
Traditionally associated with celebrations and family gatherings, tok panjang is a long-table feast with an assortment of dishes to share. Baba Nyonya scales that idea down into its Mini Tok Panjang Set, a tray of small plates available for an additional S$10 with any main course.
On the regular menu, Babi Pongteh (S$23.80) features pork trotters and potatoes slow-braised in a savoury-sweet gravy with fermented soybean paste. Pork Ribs Buah Keluak (S$23.80) puts ribs in the earthy black-nut gravy often associated with chicken.
Beef Rendang (S$25.80) and Nyonya Chilli Prawns (S$29.80) offer more options for the centre of the table. The prawns come tossed in a house sambal made with slow-cooked chillies and aromatics.
There is some assembly involved with the Kueh Pie Tee (S$22.80). Diners fill the crisp shells themselves with braised turnip, prawns and condiments, adjusting the chilli and crunch to their liking.

Buah Keluak Goes From the Braising Pot to the Charcoal Grill
Available daily from 6pm, the new grill menu takes familiar Peranakan ingredients in a smokier direction. Buah Keluak Fire-Grilled Prawns (S$14.80) pair the nut’s earthy flavour with prawns cooked over the coals, while Nyonya Spiced Grilled Beef Cubes (S$13.80) come with a choice of Chicken Rice Chilli, Hijau Massam or Golden Nenas sauce.
For an individual meal, the Buah Keluak Fried Rice Set (S$13.80) includes achar, chicken satay, pork ngoh hiang, cucumber and onions alongside the rice.
The drinks draw on some of the same pantry ingredients. The Baba (S$16.80) combines espresso and gula melaka and arrives with aromatic smoke, while The Nyonya (S$14.80) is a sparkling highball with lemongrass.

Li Nan Xing’s Sauces Join the Table
Actor Li Nan Xing, who has Peranakan family roots, lends two dipping sauces to a limited-time collaboration: Chilli Citrus and Lemon Citrus.
Both accompany the Ngoh Hiang Platter (S$18.80) and the evening grill menu’s Nyonya-Style Mid-Joint Chicken (S$9.80). Chilli Citrus combines lemon, kaffir lime, chilli and garlic, while Lemon Citrus offers a milder sweet-sour option. Bottles are also available to purchase at S$6.90 each.
To finish, Emerald Delight (S$11.80) brings pandan, coconut and gula melaka together in a panna cotta dessert.
