As Singapore-Malaysia border finally opens on 1 April 2022, Malaysian Transport Minister Wee Ka Siong has announced that the road charge will be waived from 1 to 7 April 2022 for all Singapore vehicles.
This concession is to give Singaporean drivers time to top up and renew their Touch’n Go cards, which is used to pay for the road charge (S$6.45).
Minister Wee also added that it would hopefully stave off congestion at the two immigration checkpoints at the Causeway and the Tuas Second Link.
