Pan Pacific Singapore unveils S$45 rice dumpling stuffed with a whole abalone

Written by Jon Phay

The Pan Pacific rice dumpling with abalone is one of the most premium offerings this Dragon Boat Festival. While rice dumplings are usually tied to tradition and nostalgia, this version takes a more luxurious approach.

Hai Tien Lo offers a range of handcrafted rice dumplings until 19 June 2026. Among them, the Hai Tien Lo Supreme Rice Dumpling stands out at S$45, making it the most premium item on the menu.At first, it sounds like a typical upscale festive offering.

Why the Pan Pacific rice dumpling with abalone costs S$45

The dumpling packs pork belly, roasted duck, whole dried scallop, Chinese sausage, salted egg yolk, chestnut, mung bean, lotus seed and premium glutinous rice.

More notably, the Pan Pacific rice dumpling with abalone includes a whole 12-head abalone.

Meanwhile, those who prefer something more traditional can explore other options. The Hokkien Rice Dumpling with Pork and Salted Egg Yolk costs S$18. The Savoury Pork Knuckle and Peanut Rice Dumpling and Black Glutinous Nyonya Rice Dumpling are priced at S$22. A Teochew yam paste version is available at S$15.

In addition, Hai Tien Lo offers two bundle sets. The Classic Rice Dumplings Set is priced at S$118. The Premium Rice Dumplings Set costs S$158 and includes the Supreme Rice Dumpling and XO chilli sauce.
