Elephant Grounds, the well known Hong Kong lifestyle café brand, has officially opened its first Singapore outlet at Guoco Midtown, bringing its signature mix of specialty coffee, all day dining and laid back café culture into the CBD.
Founded in Hong Kong in 2013, Elephant Grounds built its reputation not just through specialty coffee, but through a very specific kind of café culture. The brand became known for design driven spaces, creative crowd appeal and its now iconic ice cream sandwiches, eventually growing into one of Hong Kong’s more recognisable lifestyle café brands.
Now, that same energy has landed in Singapore’s CBD.
A “Third Space” Between Work And Home
Unlike many CBD cafés that feel built around quick coffees and rushed lunch meetings, Elephant Grounds leans into a slower and more relaxed atmosphere. The café features warm wood textures, earthy tones and clean minimalist interiors that immediately soften the rush of the city outside.
The brand describes its concept as a “third space” between home and office. In simple terms, it is the kind of place that is not quite work, not quite home, but somewhere in between where people can pause, reset, get things done or simply spend time without feeling like they need to rush off.
On weekday afternoons, the crowd almost tells the story of the café itself — creatives editing videos between meetings, office workers stretching one coffee across an entire afternoon, and friends lingering in quiet corners long after lunch is over.
It’s polished enough for the CBD crowd, but relaxed enough that nobody seems in a hurry to leave.

Recently Expanded Its All Day Menu
Elephant Grounds has also recently expanded its all day menu in Singapore, adding more mains, pastries and desserts as part of its move beyond a typical brunch café.
New additions include the Seafood Aglio Olio inspired by Hokkien Mee flavours, Chicken Rendang Donburi and Beef Bacon & Kale Benedict, alongside signature desserts like its cult favourite Ice Cream Sandwiches.
Prices lean firmly toward premium CBD café territory, with mains mostly around S$20 and coffees averaging about S$6 to S$8. It is not exactly cheap, but Elephant Grounds feels more focused on atmosphere, comfort and lingering over coffee than affordability.
