Japanese grill restaurant Matsukiya at Paragon Shopping Centre is now making after work drinks a little less painful for the wallet with its new Sip & Savour promotion, where selected drinks start from just S$4.50++ daily from 6pm to 9pm.
The deal includes favourites such as the Kakubin Highball and Suntory Draft Beer, making it a surprisingly attractive after work option for anyone trying to avoid the usual Orchard drinking prices.
S$4.50++ drinks in Orchard actually feel rare now
Let’s be honest. A casual drink in town can easily cost S$18 to S$25 after taxes these days.
That is why Matsukiya’s pricing feels especially eye catching. While the promotion only applies to selected drinks during the evening happy hour period, it still stands out as one of the more affordable alcohol deals we have seen in Orchard recently.
Of course, Matsukiya itself is still a proper mid range Japanese grill restaurant rather than a budget izakaya, so most diners will probably pair the drinks with food.

Matsukiya specialises in kushiyaki, where skewers are grilled over premium binchōtan charcoal for that smoky aroma and juicy texture.
