NDP 2026 will return to the National Stadium at The Kallang for the first time in 10 years. The last National Day Parade held there was in 2016.
This year’s celebration will also extend beyond the stadium. According to the NDP 2026 team, the wider Kallang precinct can host up to 200,000 people across various celebration spaces.
Organisers said the sheltered stadium setting gives them more room to use lighting displays, aerial performances, drones and large-scale special effects.
“Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond!”
The official theme for NDP 2026 is “Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond!”.
The theme encourages Singaporeans to go further, do more and become better together as the country marks 61 years of independence.
BG Lim Hanyong, chairman of the NDP 2026 Executive Committee, said SG61 marks the start of a new decade for Singapore.
He added that organisers want to introduce new, fresh and bold ideas for this year’s celebrations.
The NDP 2026 logo features the number “61” shaped into an upward arrow, alongside Singapore’s five stars. The design represents ambition, progress and moving forward.

Singapore’s New Generation Of NDP Storytelling
For the first time in NDP history, Singapore will move away from having one official National Day theme song.
Instead, NDP 2026 will launch the “Go Beyond: NDP 2026 Album”. The album will feature multiple original songs for this year’s celebrations.
It will begin with three tracks: “Giants” by Iman Fandi, “Sparkle” by Gareth Fernandez and Dru Chen, and “You’ll Be Okay” by Jasmine Sokko.
“Giants”, written by weish, tells a story of growth from uncertainty and self-doubt to finding one’s own voice.
“Sparkle” is a high-energy singalong anthem that celebrates joy and individuality.
Organisers said the album gives Singaporeans a wider range of music styles to connect with during this year’s National Day celebrations.
More familiar National Day favourites and original show music will be added to the album before Aug. 9.
NDP 2026 will also feature “Heartbeats”, the first microdrama series produced for NDP.
The six-episode series stars Iman Fandi and Yung Raja. It follows a shy woman as she overcomes personal challenges and finds her voice at an NDP heartlands concert.
Organisers said “Heartbeats” will explore Singaporean stories of national pride, community, music and shared experiences.
Show Segment To Unfold Across Five Chapters
This year’s Show segment will unfold across five chapters inspired by “Go Beyond”.
The production will use a show platform that spans the length of a football field. It will include aerial elements, stage lifts and multimedia displays.
NDP 2026 will also feature NDP’s first indoor drone light show.
The drone show will be paired with the largest indoor special effects presentation to date. Organisers said it will be more than two times larger than past displays.
The five chapters will feature Najip Ali, Ric Liu, Sushma Soma, Jasmine Sokko, Iman Fandi and Gareth Fernandez.
More than 2,000 performers will also take part. They include participants from the People’s Association, Ministry of Education schools and Soka Gakkai Singapore.

No Red Lions, Mobile Column Or Heartland Celebrations This Year
There will be no Red Lions parachute jump, mobile column or heartland celebrations this year.
BG Lim Hanyong said this decision does not rule out the Red Lions returning in future editions.
For the first time, the Presidential Gun Salute will take place at Kallang Basin instead of Marina Bay.
Members of the public around Kallang Basin can still catch fireworks and live performances during previews and on National Day.
NDP Celebrations Around The Kallang Precinct
From July 25 to Aug. 9, the public can enjoy music performances, interactive activities and light installations around The Kallang.
Activities will include the “Go Beyond” lighted display along Stadium Riverside Walk.
There will also be interactive activities that highlight Singapore’s multiculturalism and 60 years of the National Pledge.
Familiar National Day songs and tracks from this year’s NDP album will also play throughout the precinct.
NDP Outreach And Engagement Activities
Members of the public can collect National Flags from partner locations from end-June.
These include People’s Association community clubs, selected CapitaLand malls and selected Courts stores.
NDP booths will also run from May 28 to Aug. 8 at selected events.
These include the National Family Festival, Mummys Market, National Day Istana Open House and SportSG sports carnivals.
NDP 2026 will also feature Majulah Hunt, a nationwide treasure hunt developed with Accenture.
The activity will use location-based storytelling and a progressive web app to help the public rediscover Singapore’s history.
The #GiveAsOneSG campaign will also return for its fourth year. It promotes volunteerism and philanthropy as a meaningful way to celebrate National Day.
