Sofitel Singapore City Centre’s Racines Introduces a New Menu Inspired by Southeast Asian Flavours

Written by Kelly Khor

Racines at Sofitel Singapore City Centre has unveiled a new menu inspired by Southeast Asian flavours. It offers diners a refreshed take on familiar regional dishes. Known for its blend of French and Asian influences, the restaurant is now placing a stronger spotlight on local and regional cuisine. At the same time, it maintains its signature polished hotel dining experience.

What’s in the new menu?

The new menu draws from what the restaurant describes as “Flavours from the Heart”. It focuses on dishes shaped by memory, culture and everyday comfort. This direction feels fitting for Singapore’s diverse food landscape. Here, familiarity plays just as important a role as innovation.

Returning favourites such as beef hor fun, Hokkien mee and chicken rice continue to anchor the menu. They offer a sense of consistency for regular diners. Alongside these staples, more than 20 Southeast Asian inspired dishes have been introduced. This expands the variety while keeping the experience approachable and recognisable.

Rather than dramatically reinterpreting local cuisine, Racines takes a more measured approach. The dishes are refined and well executed. They stay close to their original flavour profiles. For diners who enjoy comfort and familiarity, this works well. However, those expecting bold reinventions may find the menu leans more towards subtlety than surprise.
