Last year, Genki Sushi’s first collection of plushie sling bags sold out across Singapore in just 10 days, turning a restaurant promotion into a collector’s craze. Now, the Japanese chain is bringing them back with four brand-new characters, alongside a limited-time menu inspired by one of Japan’s most food-obsessed regions.
From 18 June to 26 July 2026, diners can get their hands on the second Genki Sushi Squad collection while exploring a Kyushu-themed menu featuring black garlic ramen, wagyu sushi, pufferfish tempura and more.
Four New Sushi Plushies Are Joining The Squad
The new collection introduces four fresh characters to the Genki Sushi Squad universe:
- Ebi Fry-chan — a cheerful prawn tempura character
- Maguro-kun — inspired by tuna and a fan of wasabi
- Unagi-chan — based on grilled eel
- Kani-san — a crab character with plenty of personality
Like the previous collection, each plushie doubles as a wearable sling bag. The furry sushi rice body comes with a zip compartment, while the toppings attach using velcro, allowing owners to swap and mix toppings between characters.
