Imagine walking up to a buffet station and seeing Li Nan Xing waiting to serve your dinner. From 7 to 9 August 2026, that dream becomes reality as the veteran Singapore actor personally serves his signature dishes at Town Restaurant during The Fullerton Hotel Singapore’s National Day celebrations.
Family recipes with Peranakan influences
The collaboration draws on the food Li associates with family, heritage and the memories that shaped him. Therefore, the menu focuses on comforting local flavours rather than elaborate celebrity themed creations.
His featured dishes include:
- Bak Kut Teh with Black Garlic
- Crispy Seafood Cake
- Nyonya Beef Rendang
- Kampung Curry Chicken
- Signature Assam Pedas
- Homestyle Nyonya Chap Chye
Li’s standout dish is his Bak Kut Teh with Black Garlic, made with fermented black garlic for a deeper and more distinctive flavour. However, he recommends starting with the Assam Laksa first to whet the appetite before moving on to the richer dishes.

During the final three days of the promotion, Li will step behind the live station and personally serve guests his signature creations.
As a result, fans can meet one of Singapore’s most recognisable television actors in a setting that feels more personal than a typical celebrity appearance. Instead of seeing him briefly on a stage, diners can approach the station while enjoying recipes connected to his own family table.
There’s a Full International Buffet Too
Li Nan Xing’s dishes are just one part of the experience. Diners will also enjoy Town Restaurant’s regular international dinner buffet, featuring fresh seafood on ice, sashimi and sushi, live cooking stations, premium roasts and an extensive dessert selection.
Exclusively for the National Day season, the hotel has also introduced local-inspired specials including Roti John, Spicy Kueh Pie Tee, Ayam Percik-inspired ‘Meltique’ Beef Striploin, Malay Style Grilled Sea Bass, and a reimagined Bubur Cha Cha alongside other local desserts.
