Bubble tea had a very good run. But in 2026, drinks are getting a lot more extra. Nine Fresh Tea Sserts are the brand’s latest oversized dessert drinks, turning Taiwanese dessert bowls into drinks you can sip through a straw.
Bubble Tea, But With Main Character Energy
The biggest difference between a regular bubble tea and Nine Fresh’s new Tea Sserts is that these cups are not just drinks with toppings.
They are full dessert experiences.
Think silky bean curd, slippery ai yu jelly, chewy taro balls, honey popping jelly, peach gum and premium taro paste, all layered into one cup.
Even better, Nine Fresh says these Tea Ssert cups are 25% bigger than its regular dessert bowls.
The Drinks Everyone’s Going To Photograph
The Yammie Earl Grey is probably the most obvious crowd pleaser. It combines Earl Grey milk tea with bean curd, ai yu jelly, mini taro Q and premium taro paste made in house.
The Jasmine Chrysanthemum Peach Gum Milk sounds like something you would order on a day when you suddenly decide to become a better person. It comes with jasmine milk tea, chrysanthemum ai yu jelly, peach gum and Chrysanthemum Qhewy cubes, giving it that floral, refreshing, slightly luxurious feel. It also looks like the kind of drink designed to live on Instagram Stories.

The Customisation Is Where Things Get Dangerous
For people who cannot commit to one fixed drink, Nine Fresh is also letting customers DIY their own Tea Sserts from S$4.20.
There are 28 toppings available. At this point, ordering a drink is no longer just choosing your sugar level. It is dessert character customisation. You can build something refreshing, something creamy, something chewy, something floral, or something so loaded that it basically becomes lunch.
The Prices Are Surprisingly Not Painful
Despite rising costs, Nine Fresh says its All Time Favourites Series will continue to start from S$2.90.
The new Tea Sserts start from S$4.20 for DIY versions, with options like Yammie Earl Grey at S$4.80, Jasmine Chrysanthemum Peach Gum Milk at S$4.50 and Honey Pop Fresh Milk at S$4.50.
There is also a limited time promotion where customers can enjoy any three desserts for S$11.80 until 31 May 2026 at all Nine Fresh outlets, except Marina Bay Sands.
So, Are Tea Sserts The Next Big Drink Obsession?
Maybe.
But they definitely feel like the next logical step in Singapore’s long running love affair with chewy drinks, Taiwanese desserts and over the top customisation.
Bubble tea gave us pearls.
Tea Sserts are giving us bean curd, taro paste, peach gum, ai yu jelly and a whole dessert situation in one cup.
At this point, we are basically one step away from drinking hotpot.
