Soup Restaurant is celebrating Singapore’s 61st birthday with two things many locals grew up with: comforting home-style food and nostalgic Xinyao music.
From 16 July to 31 August 2026, diners can enjoy 61% off any one of six new National Day dishes. On top of that, selected outlets will host live bands performing classic Xinyao songs, creating a nostalgic dining experience throughout the SG61 celebrations.
Instead of offering another ordinary National Day promotion, the homegrown restaurant is combining familiar Singaporean flavours with one of the country’s best-loved homegrown music genres.
61% Off Six New National Day Dishes
For this year’s National Day celebration, Soup Restaurant has reimagined familiar local flavours through a collection of six limited-time creations.

- Kopi O Pork Ribs
- Stir-Fried Pig’s Blood Tofu with Mustard Green
- Assam Uncle Lapan Fish
- Double-boiled Crocodile Soup with Wolf Berries
- Homemade Pandan Panna Cotta with Gula Melaka
One of the biggest talking points is likely to be the Stir-Fried Pig’s Blood Tofu with Mustard Green. Pig’s blood is rarely found in mainstream restaurants today, making the dish a nostalgic throwback for many diners. Meanwhile, the Laksa Prawns capture the rich, spicy flavours of one of Singapore’s favourite noodle dishes. Meanwhile, the Kopi O Pork Ribs give the country’s iconic black coffee a savoury twist.

Live Xinyao band performances at NEX and Jewel
Beyond the food, Soup Restaurant is also bringing live Xinyao performances to two outlets during the National Day season.
- 1 August 2026 — Soup Restaurant NEX (11.30am – 1.30pm)
- 22 August 2026 — Soup Restaurant Jewel (11.30am – 1.30pm)
Performed by a live band, the Xinyao sessions celebrate one of Singapore’s most recognisable homegrown music movements. Together with the SG61 menu, they create a dining experience centred around familiar songs, comforting food and shared memories.
