Tokyo’s popular RITUEL has chosen Singapore for its first international flagship, introducing an all-day concept that combines a French-style tearoom, artisan bakery and restaurant in a single space.
Opened on 9 July 2026 at Takashimaya Shopping Centre, the Orchard Road flagship serves pastries, French-inspired comfort food, afternoon tea and several dishes created specifically for Singapore. Among the highlights are a 36-layer croissant adapted for the local climate, savoury Danish sandwiches and an afternoon tea experience featuring a dessert wagon.
RITUEL’s First Overseas Store Is In Singapore
Founded in Tokyo in 2015, RITUEL draws inspiration from the French Salon de Thé, bringing together pastries, tea and dining in one experience. Its Takashimaya outlet marks the brand’s first location outside Japan.
The Singapore flagship features pale blue interiors, curved counters and elegant tableware, including Bernardaud porcelain and Christofle silverware, creating a relaxed French tearoom atmosphere for coffee, afternoon tea and all-day dining.
The Menu Was Adapted For Singapore
Instead of copying the menu from its Tokyo outlets, RITUEL developed its Singapore selection around the local climate and dining habits.
This includes adjusting its laminated pastries for Singapore’s heat and humidity, while incorporating viennoiserie into savoury dishes rather than serving it only as a snack or dessert.
The result is an all-day menu that moves easily from breakfast pastries and lunch to afternoon tea and dinner.

Singapore Exclusive Dishes, Afternoon Tea And Drinks
Beyond its signature pastries, RITUEL Singapore offers several menu items created exclusively for its first overseas flagship. Highlights include the Japanese Egg Danish Sandwich with soft scrambled eggs and truffle mushroom cream, the Wagyu Roast Beef Danish Sandwich with homemade pickles and red wine sauce, and Pot Pie Soups sealed beneath a flaky pastry crust. Those after a heartier meal can also choose from French-inspired comfort dishes like duck confit, steak frites, fricassée and pasta.
For a slower dining experience, the Singapore-exclusive BOUQUET Afternoon Tea features savouries, pastries and a signature dessert wagon served tableside. The dessert selection includes Brioche Flower Donuts, fresh cream cakes, seasonal fruit pastries and Signature Parfaits, which will be available by reservation from mid August.
The beverage menu includes five tea mocktails inspired by destinations such as Singapore and Tokyo, alongside Valrhona Chocolate Chaud with Chantilly cream. Coffee lovers can also enjoy a house blend developed with local roaster Dutch Colony Coffee using Ethiopian and Brazilian beans.
