Singapore has become the first destination outside China to host the Panda Planet Immersive Experience, a limited-time exhibition featuring a mixed reality bamboo forest, panda trivia and updates on Singapore-born cub Le Le.
The exhibition runs at River Wonders until 14 September 2026, coinciding with the birthdays of resident giant pandas Jia Jia and Kai Kai. Entry to the exhibition and birthday celebrations is included with regular park admission.
Explore the world of giant pandas through three zones
The exhibition features three themed zones outside the Pavilion Capital Giant Panda Forest. In the Mixed Reality Experience Zone, visitors can explore a virtual bamboo forest and get a glimpse of the natural environment where giant pandas live.
The Giant Panda Science Zone covers the evolution, behaviour and unique adaptations of giant pandas. It also introduces the conservation work supporting the recovery of the vulnerable species. Visitors can also attempt panda trivia challenges and take photos at panda-themed installations for a chance to redeem exclusive iPanda merchandise.
Watch Kai Kai enjoy an early birthday feast
Kai Kai turns 19 on 14 September. Their care team has prepared ice cakes, gift boxes and treat-filled enrichment activities designed to encourage natural foraging behaviour. Visitors can catch Kai Kai’s celebration at 12pm on 13 September inside the Pavilion Capital Giant Panda Forest.
The session offers more than a cute photo opportunity. Watching Kai Kai search through his birthday enrichment gives visitors a closer look at how animal care teams keep pandas mentally and physically engaged.
