You Don’t Have To Travel Overseas To Send A Postcard Anymore — Sentosa Just Made It A Thing In Singapore

Written by Jon Phay

Whether it’s from Japan, Europe, or some quiet seaside town, there’s always something oddly satisfying about picking out a postcard, scribbling a message, and sending it off from that exact spot.

Now, you can do the same thing at the Southernmost Point of Continental Asia — and yes, it’s still in Singapore.

The Southernmost Point of Continental Asia

There’s something quietly satisfying about standing at the Southernmost Point of Continental Asia, even if it’s more symbolic than strictly geographical. A short walk across the suspension bridge brings you to a tiny islet with sweeping sea views, lookout towers, and that rare “edge of the world” feeling you don’t usually get in Singapore.

It has always been a popular photo spot, but knowing you’re technically at the southern edge of an entire continent makes it feel a little more special — like a small travel moment without ever leaving the country.

Now You Can Send a Postcard From Here

Adding to the experience, there is now a scenic posting box and postcard vending machine located at the rest stop overlooking the Southernmost Point at Palawan Beach.

The vending machine operates 24 hours, so you can drop by anytime, whether it’s a morning stroll, a beach day, or a sunset visit.

Once you’ve written your postcard, you can send it off directly from the site, with postal collection taking place at 5pm from Monday to Thursday and 6pm on Fridays.

What’s in the Postcard Kit?

Each postcard kit comes with everything you need — so you can buy it, write it, and send it all in one go.

Type Price What’s Included
Standard Postcard Kit S$5 1 postcard, 1 pen, 1 stamp
Limited Edition Die-Cut Kit S$7 1 die-cut postcard, 1 envelope, 1 pen, 1 stamp

There is also an exclusive embossing stamp available at the site, so you can mark your postcard with a unique imprint that you won’t find anywhere else.

And then comes the part most people don’t expect to enjoy — actually writing the message.

No typing. No editing. Just writing.

It could be something simple, or something more thoughtful than you planned.

And when you finally drop it into the posting box, it somehow feels a little more meaningful than your usual souvenir.
