McDonald’s gives BTS meals to Changi Airport frontline workers, to appreciate them

While we were all busy refreshing our food delivery apps, it was a busy day for Mcdonald’s too.

A total of 2000 BTS meals were given to workers in Zone 1 of the airport, which is also the highest-risk zone.

This is to encourage the airport worker despite these tough times.

The meals were prepared at Changi Airport Terminal 3, observing paramount safety measures in food delivery.

A little kindness makes the world go round. We should show our appreciation to all unsung heroes, no matter how small our gestures are.

Is the BTS McDonald’s Meal worth the hype: Here’s the verdict

After a long wait, the popular BTS meal is finally out in Singapore! However, it is only available via delivery services to minimise the long queues during the pandemic.

Due to high demand, I managed to order the meal after several tries via GrabFood.

The meal consists of Chicken McNuggets, fries and a refreshing cup of Coca Cola. The unique thing about this meal lies in the sauce– the sweet chilli and Cajun sauces.

The real question is, is the meal really worth it? Here’s an honest review.

Beautiful packaging

We’ve seen many videos online of people keeping the packaging after they have finished their meals. Indeed, the purple packaging looks good. However, in Singapore, there isn’t the BTS paper bag available.

The packaging can be turned into a trendy bucket hat or a cup. Here are some ideas below!

Unique flavours of the sauce

The flavours go generally well with the nuggets and fries.

The sweet chilli sauce reminds me of the Thai chilli sauce. It has a hint of spiciness with a mild sweet taste.

The Cajun sauce reminds me of a combination of mayonnaise and honey mustard. However, the flavour can be quite strong to some people though.

A little overpriced

The meal costs about $8.90, excluding delivery charges which varies according to the demand. For big eaters like me, it still may not be filling.

Overall, it is rare that McDonald’s is collaborating with a popular artist group. The main thing that is unique would be the sauce. However, if you are someone who wants the packaging for creativity, the BTS meal would be for you.
