Singapore Art Week (SAW) is happening from now till 23 January! One of the highlights of SAW is the Aliwall Festival — a culmination of participative art experiences that redefine the walls.

From tomorrow till 23 January, check out Aliwall 2022: The Dreamer, which comprises of different parts– both indoor and outdoor.

Reality in Construction

This is where you can participate and collaborate with the artists to come up with a spectacular outdoor mural! The final masterpiece will be revealed during the Festival.

Permission to dream

Permission to Dream is a multi-sensory experience that comprises of fantasy-filled digital arts, set design and sound. The artwork is brought to you by visual artist Howie Kim in collaboration with stage designer Akbar Syadiq.

Good news to all Attack on Titan fans! Attack On Titan: The Exhibition launches today at the Arts Science Museum!

If you are unsure of what Attack On Titans is about, fret not. It is based on the best-selling dark fantasy manga and anime series. It is where humans battle merciless and enormous humanoids. You can join in the exhibition hype too!

Brief Introduction

Upon entry, you can choose whether you want to explore the paths outside or inside the walls.

Throughout the experience, you will be introduced to the rich characters, themes and intricate worldbuilding of this global cultural phenomenon.

Over 180 artworks featured

The exhibition features over 180 artworks by Hajime Isayama and also showcase exclusive pieces that are not displayed elsewhere. This includes drafts and sketches from his archives too.

There are even 3D titans falling from the sky– beware!

Immersive battle sequence 

Experience an immersive battle sequence set in the Great Titan Theatre!

With just about 15 minutes walk from each other, these 2 islands are a great place for swimming, kayaking or even kite flying! You can even bring a picnic mat along with some snacks and sit under the shade.

Pulau Ubin is one of those places that adventure seekers shouldn’t miss out on! From mountain biking to hiking and kayaking, there are plentiful of outdoor activities that you can enjoy!

One of the plus points is that there are food and drink stalls too, so you can hover by and grab a bite when you are famished.

Art jamming has been an increasingly popular activity in 2021 and most likely the hype will continue next year as well! We’ve seen multiple art jamming places around… Yet, nothing compares to Wildflower Studio because you’ve got some extra company!

That’s right–fluffy cats will be accompanying you in your mini art adventure.

Usually, the Onsen Spa experience is meant to be enjoyed in the public and in our bathing suits. However, if you are shy to go to the public Onsen pool as Joya Onsen Spa has Private bathhouses as well.

Personal Onsen Bath 

How nice would it be to have your very own bathhouse? This would make it a great bonding opportunities for family members, friends or even couples!

Personal shower and dressing area 

In the private bathhouse, you can enjoy a slightly bigger shower area with more privacy– as the public ones have a more open shower concept. Safe the hassle of bringing your own soap and shampoo as everything is provided.

Afterwards, you can take your time to dry your hair and get dressed up. Towels, hair ties, disposable undergarments are provided!

Once you perhaps warmed up a little, you can still check out the public Onsen pools which has a hot and ice bath.

In terms of aesthetics, no doubt the public onsen spa has a better ambience and a more scenic feel. However, it won’t make much of a difference as no photography is allowed in this area.

There is also a nice cafe decked in tatami mats for you to sit down and enjoy some food. We didn’t try out the food at the cafe. However, we heard that the parfaits and drinks they serve were splendid!

Different individuals have different insights after all!

4. Take photos for memories 

Do remember to capture those fun moments as it will likely be a once-in-the-lifetime experience in the same escape room.

Most of the setups are rather Instagram-worthy too!

5. Enjoy and have fun
