RWS brings Japan to Singapore this June with a 4 days only Summer Festival

If you are stuck in Singapore like us because of the skyrocketed air tickets, Resorts World Sentosa will be organizing a four days only Japan Summer Festival from 6 to 9 June 2019 from 5pm to 11pm.

These are some of the highlights. (Besides the free admission)

Japanese food from award winning chefs

Try over 38 Japanese dishes across 22 F&B booths, with the best food gathered from nine prefectures in the country. Dishes retails from just SGD$3 each, including award-winning rice bowls by Japanese chefs. Some of the Japanese food includes Oyakodon, Donburi, Ramen, Yakiniku, Hokkaido milk ice cream and more.

We recommend the Chichibu Waraji Pork Miso Donburi, which serves slabs of juicy pork cutlets marinated in miso, then deep fried to crisp golden-brown perfection. It is served with onsen egg atop a bed of pearly white rice.

Large-Scale Cultural Performances

There are two large scale performances for the summer festival.

The Tokyo Koenji Awa-Odori Dance is an annual festivity in Japan where traditional dancers take over the street as well as an impressive display of “pole lanterns”. The Akita Kanto Performance  is a dance show with over 400 years of history which commemorating the Tanabata or star festivals.

Enjoy four days of award-winning Japanese film screenings by Shochiku Co, Japan’s leading film studio. From drama to comedy, catch seven specially-curated films like The Travelling Cat Chronicles, ReLIFE, What a Wonderful Family 1,2,3 and more.
