Singaporeans create an app that help you find free food near you

Ever heard of the phrase, there is no free lunch in this world? Well, that is going to change with this app that lets you know of the nearest left-over buffet line that needs your help to finish them.

Created by Makan Rescue, this initiative hopes to curb food wastage (and to feed some poor hungry folks along the way).

Talk about win-win!

Besides the exact location of the food that needs rescueing, users can also view pictures of the food, the time the food expires, if the food is halal or vegetarian and how much left over food there is.
