White Rabbit Candy Cake Roll is real and it’s only S$9.90

The White Rabbit sweet has been every 90s kids childhood growing up candy. However, it seemed as though we have forgotten about this part of our childhood as we grow older.

Now, thanks to old school local bakery, Gin Thye, this sweet is once again in the limelight. This time, in the form of the White Rabbit Blancmanges Roll.

This cake roll is 15cm in length and weighs about 400g. It is currently available on Qoo10 at $9.90 per roll with free self-pickup option at their Sembawang HQ outlet. However, pre-order of 2 days is required.

Premium Japanese Matcha dessert chain opens first Southeast Asia outlet at Suntec City

Premium Japanese matcha dessert chain, 108 Matcha Saro has opened its first Southeast Asia outlet at Suntec City today (26 July 2019).

The take-away store, which resembles a traditional ancient Japanese teahouse, features four different live stations where shoppers can watch staff make Warabi-mochi, Obanyaki, Matcha and assembling parfaits and soft serve.

Best selling dessert is Obanyaki

The store’s best selling item, Obanyaki comes in 5 different flavours and each retails from  S$2.90.

Warabi-mochi (S$4.90)

108 Matcha Saro also offers warabi mochi at eight pieces for S$4.90. The mochi comes in two flavours: soybean powder warabi mochi and the matcha powder warabi mochi.

Opening Special

As part of its flagship outlet opening special, 108 Matcha Saro is running a one-for-one promotion for its Hokkaido soft serves (S$4.90).

McDonalds goes Japanese with Seaweed Shaker Fries, Samurai Burgers & matcha Ice-cream today

McDonald’s Singapore is introducing three Japanese themed food items on its menu from today (25 July 2019).

Here are the items:

Samurai Burger (From S$6.10)

The Samurai burger comes with either chicken or beef patty. The meat is then coated with Teriyaki sauce, topped with lettuce, mayonnaise and two sesame steamed buns.

The Single Samurai Burger retails from S$6.10 and the Double Samurai Burger is S$8.10.

Seaweed Shaker Fries (Comes with Samurai Meal)

The seaweed shaker fries is part of the Samurai Special Meal (From S$8.90). It consist of a Samurai Burger, large fries and medium green tea. Diners can also top up S$0.70 to get the shaker fries with other Extra Value Meal.

Matcha-flavoured ice-creams (From S$1.10)

The selection of Matcha dessert consist of Matcha Cone (S$1.10), Matcha Twist Cone (S$1.10), Matcha Hot Fudge Sundae (From S$2) and the brand new Matcha Dip McFlurry (From S$3.10).

The Matcha Dip McFlurry is a vanilla soft serve with crunchy bits of Matcha Dip.

McDonalds Happy Meal giving away collectible Snoopy X NASA toys with every Happy Meal

As part of the 50th anniversary celebration since the launch of Apollo 10, NASA collaborated with Peanuts to introduce a series of limited edition, NASA themed Snoopy characters.

This set of Snoopy x NASA toys is currently available at all Singapore McDonald outlets with the purchase of any Happy Meal.

Starbucks celebrates National Day with limited edition Singapore flavored menu

As National Day approaches, Starbucks has introduced one Singapore flavored drink and four local hawker inspired food.

Here’s what they are:

Venti-sized Shiok-ah-ccino (S$8.20)

This vanilla cream Frappuccino is topped with chocolate chips and served with a waffle crisp. The Venti-sized drink comes with a complimentary reusable straw and a straw clip set. While stocks last.

Cheesecake Sandwich (S$6.90)

The cheesecake sandwiches, which looks like the old school ice-cream, is available in three flavors: cookies and cream, raspberry swirl, or blueberry swirl.

The raspberry swirl and blueberry swirl comes with waffles. The cookies and cream is wrapped around a rainbow bread.

Quinoa salad (S$9.90)

This chicken rice inspired salad is a healthy combination of cauliflower rice, quinoa, poached chicken slices, achar, cherry tomatoes, chicken skin crisps, and ginger.

Laksa Croissant Bowl (S$6.50)

This pipping laksa croissant bowl is topped with a prawn and a hard-boiled egg.

Japanese brand Emma opens store selling gravity defying ice-cream at Plaza Singapura

Japan’s popular ice-cream company, Emma has opened its first overseas outlet at the basement of Plaza Singapura.

This ice-cream brand is well-known for its rich soft serve made using premium Japanese ingredients. In fact, the ice-cream is so dense, it doesn’t not fall off even when its inverted.

Signature Emma (S$5.80)

The original signature Emma ice-cream comes with Okinawa Brown Sugar Pearls.

Additional toppings like kinako (roasted soybean flour) powder, matcha powder or caramel syrup are also available.

Emma Soft (From S$4.80)

There are three options namely Emma Soft Milk (S$4.80), Emma Soft Mix (S$5.20) and Singapore exclusive flavor, Emma Charcoal Cheese (S$5.50).
