Violet Onn Singapore, known for its Peranakan cuisine, has recently launched several new plant-based and gluten-free dishes.

The new menu consists of 20 dishes, including starters, mains and desserts.

Here’s are (some) of our favorites:

Kunyit Lemak King Oyster Mushroom S$24

This vegan and gluten-free dish  features smoky, full-bodied flavours of meaty King Oyster Mushroom and the earthiness of a turmeric-infused coconut sauce.

Garam Assam Tau Kwa with Pineapple and Pink Ginger Flower (S$20)

This is a vegan alternative to the popular Garam Assam Barramundi. The dish features flame-grilled tau kwa garnished with diced pineapples that is perfumed with julienned ginger flower.

Jagung Bakar Pedas Manis (S$18)

This is one of the spiciest newcomers. The dish features chargrilled corn on the cob coated in a fiery sauce with a hint of sweetness that is lightly tempered by a topping of feta cheese.

As Chinese New Year is around the corner, popular Bak Kwa company, Lim Chee Guan has launched a website where customers can purchase Bak Kwa online.

From now till end of February 2021, IKEA Singapore has introduced 2 new Mala dishes – Mala Chicken Wings and Mala Chicken Leg with Spaghetti.

Shortly after McDonalds Singapore announced the new Mala McShaker Fries, KFC Singapore also has a new offering.

From today (4 January 2021), they will be bringing back the fried chicken skin.

In addition to the original recipe, KFC Singapore will also be debuting its spicy fried chicken skin.

This offer is available at all McDonalds Singapore restaurants except for NTU, Polytechnics and delivery.
