Jurong Bird Park celebrates Golden Jubilee birthday with S$2.50 admission ticket deal for the entire month of January 2021

Jurong Bird Park is celebrating its Golden Jubilee by temporarily repricing its admission pass to the price they first opened 50 years ago.

This means, all local residents (Singaporeans, Singapore Permanent Residents and Pass Holders) can enjoy the S$2.50 admission ticket (UP: S$32) for the entire month of January 2021.

To enjoy the deal, simply purchase tickets online.

You would need to produce a valid proof of identity (NRIC, FIN, Birth Certificate) together with the E-ticket before entry into the park.

Even as we ease into Phase 3, there will not be any fireworks display at this year’s Marina Bay New Year’s Eve countdown. However,  Singaporeans can still look forward to them at 11 locations in the heartland to usher in 2021.

McDonald’s Singapore is ending the year tomorrow (31 Dec 2020) with the launch of the new Mala McShaker Fries.

The Mala McShaker is a rich blend of Szechuan peppercorns, chili powder and other umami spices. According to the fast food restaurant, its gives an authentic Szechuan spicy and numbing flavor.

The Mala McShaker is available for a la carte from S$3.50, or as an add-on to any Extra Value Meal for S$0.70.

SMRT & SBS Transit Extends Train and Bus Services for New Year’s Eve 2020

Public transport operators, SMRT and SBS Transit, are extending their service hours for all train lines and selected bus services this New Year’s Eve (31 December 2020).

Here are the details of the departure timings of the last train service:

North-South Line (NSL)East-West Line (EWL)
  • City Hall MRT (Both directions): 1 am
Circle Line
  • Harbourfront to Dhoby Ghaut: 12:24am.
  • Dhoby Ghaut to Harbourfront: 12:27am.
North-East Line (NEL)

Downtown Line (DTL)

Candy Shop Bears & Friends opens outlet at Haji Lane, selling alcoholic gummy bears

German confectionery, Bears & Friends, has opened an outlet at Haji Lane.

Here’s how the shop looks like:

According to the sweet shop, the candies they sell contains only natural ingredients and avoid artificial such as as flavors, colors, stabilizing agents in the product.

There are more than 80 types of sweets available including gummy bears infused with alcohol.

Some of the signature candies include the wine sparkling bears and Gin and tonic gummy bears. In addition, the candy shop also has interesting sweet flavors including the fruit salad gummy bear and chilli gummy bear.

Canberra Plaza officially opens tomorrow, has Daiso, A&W, Gymmboxx and 70 other shops

Canberra Plaza, located beside the new Canberra MRT Station, will open tomorrow on 18 December 2020.

The new mall in Sembawang houses 70 commercial outlets. However, only 40 shops are in the directory listing. There is also a small water play park, community plaza and learning spaces.
