BTS to launch pop-up store at Plaza Singapura from 14 November 2020

Korean boy band BTS is launching a pop-up store at Plaza Singapura from 14 November 2020 to 14 February 2021.

Titled “Map of the soul”, the Singapore pop-up store features over 300 BTS merchandise. In addition, the store will also see the recreation of various scenes from the boyband’s Music Video.

Here’s how the previous pop-up stores (around the world) look like:

Besides a wide range of apparels, the pop-up store which occupies 2 units in Plaza Singapura could also feature desserts like the pop-ups in other countries.

Due to Covid-19 safety measures, customers will have to pre-register for these sessions. Pre-registration starts tomorrow on 6 Nov 2020.

The band will also drop its latest album ‘BE’ on 20 November 2020.

Jurassic World Cafe opens today at ION Sky, thematic menu released

The franchise behind the Jurassic Park franchise has opened its first pop-up Jurassic World Cafe at ION Sky. This makes the experiential dining and retail the first in Southeast Asia.

Located on the 56th floor, this cafe features the life-size model of Blue, the DNA velociraptor made popular by the movie.

In addition, the cafe also features themed dishes including its signature Jurassic World Burger, Volcano Curry, Fossil Excavation Cake and more.

National Museum of Singapore launches Doraemon exhibition, four main activities includes online trail

The National Museum of Singapore has recently launched the Doraemon’s Time-Travelling Adventures exhibition to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the much-loved manga character.

Here are the four main activities:

14 Doraemon Statues at the Museum

Visitors can take photos with giant-sized Doraemon statues. There are 14 statues situated at the lawn, including one by the museum sign and another with the Anywhere Door.

Gadgets of the Future Exhibition

Fans familiar with the series knows Doraemon often brings out gadgets in the show to help Nobi.

The Doraemon’s Gadgets of the Future features popular items previously introduced in the show. Some of these items includes the Translation Gummy and Shrink Ray.

Virtual Time-Travelling Journey with Doraemon

Perhaps due to Covid-19, the National Museum of Singapore is also offering a virtual time-travelling tour around Singapore.

Besides discovering fun facts about the different neighborhoods, visitors also stand a chance to win the full range of NMS Doraemon Singapore-themed collectibles designed by Supermama.

Zouk Club movie screening premiers today with Halloween themed movies

Zouk Cinema Club is premiering its first movie session today (30 October 2020).

In line with Halloween, movies like The Sixth Sense (1999) and The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993) will be shown this week.

According to Zouk Club, the Zouk Cinema Club is a new pop-up cinematic experience that transforms the complex’s main dance floor to a movie screening room.

This is how the redecorated club looks like now:

Unlike other cinema, the Zouk Cinema Club “welcomes guests to express themselves and have fun while practicing social distancing during screening.”

The movie screening takes place four days a week (Wednesday – Saturday), 6pm to 10.30pm. Each night will see one screening. Only those above 18 will be admitted.

However, they are only accepting table bookings.

JJ Lin to hold livestream concert for new album on 30 Oct 2020, 8pm

Mandopop singer JJ Lin has announced he will be holding a livestream concert tomorrow (30 October 2020) at 8pm.

According to the local singer, he will be performing songs from his latest album live for the first time.

It is interesting to note that JJ’s 14th album consist of two parts.

The first part titled “倖存者Drifter”, has six songs. They are 最向往的地方, 交换余生, title track 倖存者, 离开的那一些, 最好是 and 暂时的记号.

According to Spotify, the remaining half “Like You Do 如你” is expected to have eight songs and is scheduled to debut on 22 January 2021. So far, only the title track “While I can” is available.

Kaki Bukit Warehouse Sale Offers S$9.90 free-flow ice-cream buffet on 28 & 29 Nov 2020

Due to overwhelming response for its ice-cream buffet in October, Ice-cream wholesaler, Happy Ice, has recently announced its November 2020 slots.

The November sessions would be held over two days on 28 & 29 November 2020.

For S$9.90, adults can enjoy free-flow ice cream for 50 minutes. Children who are seven and above can participate in the buffet for S$1.90. Kids below seven can eat for free with every paying adult.
