Teo Heng selling own brand mic at S$150, comes with S$150 singing credit voucher

As more nightspots reopens this month under the pilot scheme, Teo Heng is planning to reopen its KTV rooms as a recreational venue.

However, no singing is allowed for the time being. Guests can bring in food and drinks to enjoy music videos on the karaoke system. They can also work, study and even sleep in the room. Board games will also be provided.

Personal Microphone for personal hygiene

In addition, Teo Heng is also selling its professional-grade microphone , Wasuka (Hokkien for I like) to mitigate risk of transmission through sharing of microphones.

Each mic costs S$150 and it comes with S$150 Teo Heng voucher. These vouchers can be used when the KTV chain reopens.

6 new hotpot and BBQ buffet eateries at Chinatown Food Street offers S$9.90 deals for a limited time

Chinatown Food Street reopens today (1 December 2020) with six new steamboat and BBQ ala carte buffet concepts amongst the 17 other stores.

The six new restaurants include 老东北烧烤 Chinese BBQ, 牛车水叻沙火锅 Chinatown Laksa Steamboat, 舌尖上麻辣火锅 Mala Steamboat, Hongdae Korean BBQ, Nabemono Shabu Shabu and S88 Mookata Steamboat.

These eateries are all priced from S$19.90 to S$23.90 nett per adult and S$12.90 nett per child (aged 3 to 12), for a minimum of 2 diners each time.

Always 99 Promotion

Chinatown Food Street’s new ‘Always 99’ is a thematic promotion for ala carte items, going at price points of S$0.99, S$1.99, S$9.90 for all of its reopened stalls.

From today (1 December 2020) to 6 December 2020, the six new dining hotpot and BBQ buffet concepts is offering S$9.90 deal to the first 30 customers during dinner time.

Signature by KOI to launch its first ever alcoholic bubble tea, Baileys Earl Grey on 1 Dec 2020

Signature by KOI is launching its first alcoholic bubble tea on 1 December 2020 at The Star Vista.

The alcoholic bubble tea, Baileys Earl Grey, is an aromatic blend of the Earl Grey Milk Tea with a splash of Baileys Irish Cream.

The alcoholic content is around 2% and extra shot of Baileys is available at S$1.50.

Changi Airport T4 converted into a Dinosaur-themed go-kart, admission from S$12

The Kerbside’s taxi waiting area at Changi Airport Terminal 4 has been transformed into a dinosaurs themed go-kart arena from now till 31 December 2020.

Here’s how it looks like:

The dinosaurs themed go-kart arena comprises of sharp turns and bends and the electric go-karts can go up to 24km/hr.

However, participants must be at least nine years old as of 1 November 2020 and 1.3m in height. Participants are also required to wear covered shoes. Helmets will be provided.

However, guests can redeem a discounted pass with every S$30 (S$80 for supermarkets) spent in a single receipts at public areas at Terminal 1, 3 and 4.

NPark unveils a new dog run and bird perch at East Coast Park, largest in the east

NParks Singapore unveiled a new dog run and bird perch for visitors to bring their furry or feathered friends.  The new facilities are located at Parkland Green, within East Coast Park.

The dog run, at 0.2ha (2,000 sq m), is at least two times the size of the other existing largest  dog run in the east.

According to NParks Singapore, the perch was built using upcycled woods from East Coast Park. This was designed in consultation with animal community groups in Singapore.

Both the dog run and the bird perch were designed in consultation with the community and enhances pet-friendly amenities at the park

Chinatown calls off Chinese New Year bazaar next year due to Covid-19

The organizers for the annual Chinese New Year Bazaar at Chinatown has decided to cancel the event next year due to concerns over safe-distancing.

According to some of the shop owners interviewed, most have no intention to take their business online.

The bazaar was usually held for three weeks, leading to Chinese New Year  around Pagoda, Smith, Temple and Trengganu streets. During Chinese New year this year in January, 329 stalls took part in the bazaar.

This is the first time since 1989, the popular bazaar is cancelled.
