Sentosa Offers free entry to all visitors, Singapore residents enjoys cable car promo from S$2

From now till the end of the year (31 December 2020), Sentosa is offering free entry to its visitors.

For entry to Sentosa via the Sentosa Express at Vivocity, visitors can simply tap their Ez-Link Card and enter for free. Guests without an Ez-Link Card can approach any service ambassadors for free entry.

For entry by car, so long as the vehicle has a locally registered IU, free admission is automated.

In addition, Singapore citizens, PR and various long-term employment pass holders can also ride the Cable Car at Sentosa Island for only S$3 for adults and S$2 for child.

 

Free entry for kids to Singapore Zoo, River Safari & Jurong Bird Park for October 2020

The Wildlife Reserves Singapore, which overseas the Singapore Zoo, River Safari and the Jurong Bird Park is currently offering free admission to one child (3 to 12 years old) to any of its parks for each full paying adult.

This offer is valid for Singaporeans, PRs, employment pass holders, dependent pass and long-term visit pass holders. The ticket is valid for single entry per stated park, on the stipulated date(s) and time slot booked. Limited to purchases of up to 4 ticket bundles per online transaction.

Make-A-Wish Singapore is making this year’s Children’s Day even more special for children with critical illness

Make-A-Wish Singapore is  a non-profit organisation that creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illness. To date, they have successfully granted 1,560 wishes.

Recently, Make-A-Wish Singapore has launched The Wish Effect campaign, hoping to raise awareness about the proven, lasting and life-changing impact of a wish on children with critical illnesses and everyone around them. As part of the campaign, the organisation has introduced the “One Tiny Wish” storybook and video, based on a true story of a wish child.

Angela Zhang, Joi Chua, Weibird and more celebrities performs for online concert to support Singapore Charity

Concert organizer, IMC Live Global, will be holding its inaugural Rock With Us: Online Charity Concert tomorrow (23 September) at 9pm to raise funds for underprivileged children in Singapore.

The start-studded concert features an impressive lineup including concert headliner, Angela Zhang.  Other performers include Joi Chua, Weibird, Jeremy Monteiro with Alemay Fernandez, Rudy Djoe, So Drama Entertainment artistes, Tin Box The Live House Band and more.

Renowned Taiwanese host, Mickey Huang will be the master of ceremony for the night. The Guest of Honor for the event is Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Second Minister for Law, Edwin Tong.

All proceeds will go in aid of the Orphanage’s much-needed dorm repair and renewal efforts.

Singapore expected to experience more rain in Oct & Nov 2020

According to several weather reports, more showers and thunderstorms are expected to hit the shores of Singapore in the month of October and November 2020 .

This is due to the onset of weather phenomenon called La Niña, which is expected to reach Southeast Asia in the next few months.

The average temperature for October 2020 is expected to range between 25°C to 30°C.

Singaporeans aged 18 and above to get S$100 vouchers in Dec 2020 for staycations, attractions and local tours

In a bid to boost local tourism, Minister for Trade and Industry Chan Chun Sing announced that all Singaporeans aged 18 and above will receive S$100 worth of SingapoRediscovers vouchers that can be spent on staycations, tickets to leisure attractions and local tours approved by the Singapore Tourism Board

The SingapoRediscovers vouchers will come in denominations of S$10 through SingPass from December 2020. These vouchers are valid for seven months until the end of June 2021.

As of now, there are approximately 700 hotels, attraction and tour groups that have een approved by the Singapore Tourism Board.

In addition, there is also a S$10 subsidy for child/youth tickets for attractions and tours. Each user is entitled to purchase up to a maximum of six of these tickets at subsidised prices.
