(CANCELLED) Boyce Avenue headlines Singapore concert championing eco-cause on 19 October 2019

American pop and rock band, Boyce Avenue will be in Singapore on 19 October 2019 to headline a concert that champions eco-friendly and sustainable living.

The inaugural concert, ChillFest@The Green, will happen at Fort Canning Hill,Fort Green. Besides Boyce Avenue, local singer Charlie Lim, LEW, John Allred, Li-A, DJ Jade Rasif and DJ Kesha Ayres will also be performing.

Besides music, there will be talks, workshops and panel discussions on topics such as tech and sustainability, tackling plastic problems in our oceans, food waste management and more.

Eight Chill Zones

In addition, there are 8 chill zones selling festive food and drinks. Concert goers can also take part in HIIT and yoga sessions.

There are also a myriad of retail booths selling eco-wares and green products.

Sentosa Merlion tickets for Singapore citizens & PRs going at half price while senior citizens enjoy free entry

You should have heard by now, Singapore’s largest Merlion Statue at Sentosa would be demolished to make way for the Sentosa-Brani linkway.

The attraction would close on 21 October 2019.

Promotional Tickets for Singaporeans

Before the attraction closes, Sentosa is offering 50% discount for adults and child off its admission pass. This means adults only has to pay S$7.50 and children S$6.20 to visit the spot.

Seniors aged 60 and above will get free entry by simply presenting their NRIC at the entrance.

Discounts for tickets is available online exclusively via the One Faber Group online booking site.

In addition, there will also light shows taking place four times nightly at 7:45 pm, 8:20 pm, 8:55 pm and 9:30 pm, at Merlion Plaza.

McDonald’s S’pore to sell emoji Potato, Crispy Fish Sandwich, Grilled Chicken Sandwich & Scrambled Egg Burger from tomorrow

Come tomorrow (26 September 2019), there is another reason to visit McDonalds Singapore.

The fast food chain will be introducing four new items to its menu: the Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Crispy Fish Sandwich, P☺︎tato, and Scrambled Egg Burger.

Grilled Chicken Sandwich (From S$6.20)

This grilled chicken sandwich comes with a chicken patty, chicken bacon, cheddar cheese, crisp lettuce, chargrill sauce and Semolina buns.

Cripsy Fish Sandwich (From S$6.20)

Contains attered fish with creamy chargrill sauce, chicken bacon, cheddar cheese and lettuce.

Potato (From S$2)

Emoji shaped mashed potatoes with cripsy crust.

Scrambled Egg Burger (From S$4)

A returning item, the Scrambled Egg Burger contains scrambled eggs, cheese. Diners can have the option to choose from chicken bacon or sausage.

New Frozen 2 trailer dropped as Elsa and Anna returns to save the kingdom of Arendelle

After 6 years of wait, Frozen 2 is set to release in Singapore on 21 November 2019.

Frozen 2 is a sequel to the first movie and is set three years after the events of Frozen. This sequel follows Elsa and gang on a magical adventure after Elsa hears a strange sound from the north calling to her.

Together with her sister Anna, Olaf (Josh Gad), Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) and Sven, the group venture beyond their home of Arendelle to discover the origin of Elsa’s magical powers and to save their kingdom.

McDonald’s Hershey’s Chocolate ice cream (From S$1.40) returns today

McDonald is re-introducing its Hershey’s Chocolate today (23 September 2019) at all its outlets.

The Hershey’s ice-cream cone comes in three flavours: regular cone (S$1.40), Twist Cone (S$1.40), and ChocoCone (S$1.60).

The other selections include Hershey’s soft serve with chocolate fudge in a sundae (S$2.40)  and the Oreo cookie bits in the Hershey’s McFlurry (S$3.20).

Immersive Bubble Tea themed exhibition features 10 IG Worthy Installation opens next month

From next month (19 October 2019) till 18 December 2019,  there will be an immersive Bubble Tea themed exhibition opening at *SCAPE.

Titled: The Bubble Tea Factory, visitors can interactive with 10 multi-sensory bubble tea themed installations. According to the organizers, visitors can “relish its grounds with their five senses of sight, sound, touch, smell and taste.”

Some of the highlights includes a large Pearl Pit where visitors gets to play in a pool of balls resembling bubble tea’s pearl. There will also be opportunities to swing on a giant pearl a lá Wrecking Ball, pose with an IV drip of bubble tea for an energy boost and so much more.

This exhibition is a ticketed event and admission passes retails from S$18 per person. However, each visitor will receive a Boba Booster Pack. It includes a set of limited-edition collectible cards that feature interactive challenges, such as taking a selfie with a new friend to create more exciting and engaging experiences.

As visitors approach a sweet end to their tea-riffic journey, they can enjoy a cold refreshing cup of bubble tea on the house accompanied by bubble tea inspired treats.
